Level measurement technology with maximum quality: Rotary paddle switch devices equipped with metal detectable shaft sealing ring for a higher degree of security
Rotary paddle switches are often used in the food sector to monitor material flows, for example in conveyor technology or in dosing and filling systems. They are used to indicate full, required and empty bulk goods such as grain, flour, sugar, spices and other foods. For hygienic reasons, the built-in devices are often made of stainless steel or other easy-to-clean materials. They have to meet the high requirements of the food industry, which often has very strict regulations and standards for food hygiene and safety.

A metal detectable shaft sealing ring is a special seal ring made from materials that can be detected by metal detectors. Such shaft seals are often used in the food and beverage industry to ensure that no unintentional foreign objects can enter the product.

The high requirements of the food industry met with metal detectable shaft seals. In addition to the four existing shaft sealing rings, the metal-detectable option is now also available for the rotary paddle switch Rotonivo® series.
Foreign object detection plays an important role in food processing and packaging to ensure food safety and quality and to prevent contamination from foreign objects (e.g. plastics, rubber, sealing material, etc.). Since the shaft seal is metal detectable, metal absorbers can sort out the contaminated food during the production process.
