Increased soda production with modern screening machines from RHEWUM
Sodium carbonate is difficult to screen as its hydrophilic properties cause agglomerations. RHEWUM’s high quality sieving technology increases production. Soda ash is obtained from sustainable production sources, such as the processing of wood. Soda ash is an indispensable raw material in partticular for the glass industry, but also used as a bleaching agent in the chemical industry and not least in the lye of Bavarian pretzels. The demand for high-quality soda ash is high. The quality of the soda granulate is significantly influenced by the performance, and thus the quality, of the screening machine in use. Soda ash is considered to be a difficult material to sieve, which easily sticks to the screening mesh and tends to form lumps due to its hydrophilic properties. The screening mesh can quickly become clogged and the entire production come to a standstill. Thus, the reliable supply of soda ash for important industrial sectors, and with it the capacity of soda ash producing plants, depends on the screening machine. With the RHEWUM WA, RHEWUM offers a state-of-the-art screening machine with direct excitation of the

interVIB vibratory screen improves scrap metal quality
interVIB vibratory screen improves scrap metal quality
German based interVIB GmbH known as developer and supplier for vibratory conveying and screening equipment has delivered numerous Linear Vibratory Screens type VSL with special developed 3D-screening cassettes to various steel factories and scrap yards. The task is to improve scrap metal quality, either provided from shears or shredders, by taking out fines, magnetic dust and non-ferrous material. Capacities from 40 to/hr up to 300 to/hr can be achieved depending on the screen dimensions. The main focus is placed onto the special designed screening surface which is built from extra strong manganese steel. It is built as cassettes which can be easily exchanged and have a life span of over 18 months. Mainly 2-3 cassettes are inserted with cascades in-between, revolving the scrap. This ensures, that the fines laying on top of large scale parts will also be separated. The robust designed main body of the screening machine ensures that also unexpected heavy parts or

Separate Dross from bulky materials Easy Access and Quick Maintenance required – tailored to the customer’s requirements
Separate Dross from bulky materials
Easy Access and Quick Maintenance required – tailored to the customer’s requirements The dross from a non-ferrous furnace needs to be cleaned out and separated from bulky materials, such as contamination from iron fittings or similar. The material temperatures are as high as 500°C, but sometimes up to 1.000°C resulting from iron nests. The fall height of the dross is at least 15.000mm. But the key requirement is to reduce the maintenance and access time for this equipment. The existing machinery is bolted to various supports and to the floor. The room height inside the acoustic booth is limited making it difficult to move parts by fork lifts. Dismantling, maintenance and re-assembly is taking at least two days with a lot of work force. The required machinery is a quite reasoned setup. Because of the fall height the dross needs to be collected on a vibratory trough conveyor. The high conveying good temperature gives the demand for a special heat expandable trough which is realized by special materials, spacers and a bolt on design giving the trough
