Innovative Flex-on filter cleaning system by IMI Buschjost
For more than 30 years, IMI Precision Engineering has set standards with its IMI Buschjost filter valves. Users of micro-filtering systems who wish to relinquish expensive tank construction and instead prefer an all-in-one solution will truly benefit from the company’s Flex-on filter cleaning system. Alongside the larger 85890 model, IMI Precision Engineering now also offers the smaller, more compact 85880 model, which complies with the existing applicable guidelines and has already proven itself many times under practical conditions.
The biggest advantage of the system is its flexibility: the user receives all of the system’s parts from a single source, which makes expensive and elaborate tank construction in self management unnecessary. The filter cleaning system 85880 is modularly adapted to the user’s individual requirements and therefore allows a fast and easy integration into the plant.
The filter cleaning system is based on a maximum 2000 mm long and 75 mm wide tank that consists of aluminum profile. Thanks to the high quality material, the tank is particularly durable and non-corrosive. The smooth surface makes it especially resistant to dirt and dust, so that the system can also be used in the food industry. Integrated filter valves ensure quick response times, high pressure peaks and a very good perfusion. Furthermore, the integrated valves guarantee extremely quick opening and closing times, which are achieved by using high quality TPE diaphragms. Compressed air consumption as well as operating costs are reduced thereby.
The filter cleaning system 85880 belongs to category 1 of the Pressure Equipment Directive, and is designed for valve sizes up to a diameter of DN 25. Valves with different characteristics can also be integrated in the tank, so that the system can be used for pulse cleaning as well as compressed air cleaning. The filter cleaning system works without pressure loss and leaks in medium temperature ranges from -40 °C to +80 °C, the operating pressure is between 0.4 and 8 bar. Depending on the application, the system can be equipped with filter valves, blow tubes, a control box or peripheral equipment such as supply and drainage valves, pressure gauges or measurement line cleaners.
