NOLL: New Leadership, New Laboratory Machine Concept
Going with a swing, the next generation is taking the helm at family business Aufbereitungstechnologie NOLL – and presents an ultra-compact, ultra-cost-efficient laboratory machine at POWTECH 2022.
A new generation of Nolls is now in charge at NOLL Processing Technology, the German specialist for dry powder processing system solutions and fine particle technology: With effect from November 2021, Bettina Noll as managing partner and Karolin Noll as member have assumed the company’s leadership from their parents. “Together we look back on a very successful business year 2021. We consider this the right moment for the younger generation to take over”, say parents Ingrid und Ulf Noll.
Business is passed safely into experienced hands. Both daughters have become familiar with the enterprise from their early days. Now in the course of succession, company founder Ulf Noll transfers the general management to 44-year-old Bettina Noll. Having already been granted general commercial power of attorney back in 2014, she has ever since been in charge of NOLL’s operative management together with her father. Her sister Karolin Noll is responsible for marketing as well as team coaching within the family enterprise. Ulf Noll, well-known for his creative ideas, will continue to support the firm as technological consultant for systems engineering and processing technology.
Biggest order ever in company history
“Just like in many medium-sized family businesses, a new generation in charge also means a Wind of Change regarding structures and organization”, specifies Bettina Noll, the new CEO. “We are putting these changes to work, with both prudence and courage, and are lucky to rely on our great team. Our staff has increased and become younger of late. Experienced and young ones together – that’s the perfect blend. Fostering the young, establishing flat hierarchies, plus employees who are ready to take on responsibility: This is how we successfully manage our in-house knowledge transfer, which is essential to us.” Together, staff members already prove themselves in an unprecedented challenge: NOLL Processing Technology are currently working on the biggest order ever in their 30 years of company history.
New laboratory machine concept at POWTECH 2022
A refreshing Wind of Change is blowing, too, through the NOLL stand at POWTECH exhibition in Nuremberg/Germany, 27-29 September, where the company will present its new, multifunctional laboratory machine 1050 for the first time. “A concept as yet unprecedented in the compact class. Standardized and extremely flexible at the same time, and, with a purchase price of less than 100,000 €, it is more cost-efficient to operate than any other laboratory machine on the market”, explains NOLL founder, engineer Ulf Noll.
Ultra-compact design, easy to use and clean, equipped as air classifier and upgradable anytime to form an all-in-one team of both classifier and opposed jet mill: The 1050 system is mobile, gets through any standard door and has an exceptionally large 10-inch touch panel. Other special features: After fractionizing or milling, the fines are directly filled into standard containers, e.g. sample boxes and jars. A transfer into other containers is no longer needed.
The laboratory R & D system can be used for testing and small-quantity production in almost any field: from metals testing to foodstuffs applications. The focus is e.g. on the dust removal of metal or polymer powders used for 3D print or surface coating, and on the protein shifting of vegetables.
