Dealers with Hardox pipe for day-to-day business in Germany

SSAB presents itself with Hardox pipe and profiles. For the first time worldwide, the day-to-day business with Hardox pipe can now be served with currently 2 dealers in Germany. In addition, the dealers also offer processing up to ready-to-install OEM components. Hardox pipe is the first choice when it comes to wear resistance and long service life under abrasive stress from corresponding pumping media.
The Swedish steel company SSAB has focused entirely on the production of quenched and tempered steels for high-strength or wear-resistant applications. The world-famous Hardox wear plate is complemented by a Hardox round bar, tube and profile range.
Both companies, Gera-based MEHAG Bearbeitungs GmbH and Abraservice in Düsseldorf, are far more than just trading companies for steel. The service package ranges from cutting and processing to the production of ready-to-install components.
”We support both our trading partners and the end users by providing comprehensive technical support,” explains Christian Wartenberg, Regional Sales Manager Tube & Bars at SSAB Special Steels, adding, ”Both dealers are well established in the market and have built up extensive know-how over the years through a wide range of applications.”
”Steels for increased wear resistance is our business. Our customers include concrete and cement plants, the chemical industry, steelworks, foundries as well as recycling companies; in short, everywhere where abrasive media are transported or where wear is an inevitable phenomenon in the plants,” explains Ulrich Neidert General Manager at Abraservice Düsseldorf.
”And since things usually have to happen quickly, we stand by our customers with short-term availability,” explains Marco Tamschick from MEHAG Bearbeitungs GmbH.
SSAB will also be presenting its high-strength Strenx construction steel at the TUBE. Except for the solid round steel, the range is analogous for the Strenx structural steel. Strenx tube is a construction steel that enables thinner-walled high-performance constructions. For the end customer, this ensures consistent product quality throughout the entire construction carried out with Strenx.
