Our DDS 400, ZDC 400 and ZDC 800 discharge and metering units have been the bestsellers in the comprehensive Sodimate portfolio for over 40 years. Over 5000 of these units alone are in use with our customers worldwide.
Based on the tried and tested principle, a new generation of discharge and metering units has now been developed, the ZDM 400.
Our customers’ wishes and suggestions have also found their place in the well thought-out optimisations.
Main advantages of the new ZDM 400:
- The modular design: It allows the metering screws alone to be replaced without having to replace the entire unit. This means that a completely different metering capacity can be realised by simply replacing the existing metering unit with a metering screw with a larger or smaller diameter.
- It is now also possible to add a second metering line at a later date. Each metering line can be equipped with an individual shut-off to the discharge body.
- Drastically reduced costs and effort for maintenance, especially due to the elimination of the angular gear and the replacement of the stuffing box packings without contact with the powder.
- Another important point is the shortened delivery times for equipment and spare parts, which are the result of the now uniform product platform.
The Sodimate success story:
Our story began in 1978 with a silo discharge and metering unit developed by our founder. He was working in the agricultural sector and designed a device for the simultaneous discharge and dosing of grain from feed silos. However, it quickly became clear that this prototype was also ideally suited for all other types of powdery bulk materials. He immediately patented this technology and founded the company Sodimate.
Over the decades, this technology was further optimised and became established worldwide; more than 5,000 units of this type speak for themselves. Our customers particularly appreciate our "one-stop shop" principle, with which we have been working successfully for a long time.
Sodimate discharge and dosing units include:
- Silo shut-off
- Discharge aid
- Dosing screw
No further discharge aids such as fluidisation, vibrating floors, beaters or similar are necessary. Rotary valves are also superfluous here.
Other major plus points:
- The precision and variability of Sodimate’s discharge and dosing units:
- Dosing quantities from one kilogram to several tonnes per hour are possible.
- A guaranteed volumetric dosing accuracy of +/- 3%. This very often eliminates the need for expensive and high-maintenance gravimetric dosing units. Here, the precision is much greater than with rotary valves.
- Between one and four metering screws are possible per discharge unit.
- Each metering screw operates independently of the others and can map any metering quantities.
- Through control by means of a frequency converter and, if necessary, the use of an external fan, each dosing screw can represent dosing quantities with a factor of 10.
The Sodimate discharge and dosing units are also particularly suitable for difficult products such as pre-ground sodium bicarbonate or powdered activated carbon.
