FEnX-T: Handheld Alloy analyzer Made in Germany
The new mobile X-ray fluorescence spectrometer FEnX-T analyzes metal alloys easier than ever before. Its unique dynamic mode automatically determines the base metal and selects the optimum measurement setting, measurement strategy and measurement time.
Dynamic mode for the best results
The user no longer needs any prior analytical knowledge. The spectrometer is suitable for the analysis of alloys such as chromium-nickel steels, aluminum alloys, nickel and copper base metals, super alloys, etc. Equipped with a graphene detector, the handheld device achieves low detection limits even for elements with low atomic numbers (such as Mg, Al, Si or S). It analyzes quickly, accurately and completely non-destructively. The analyzer is at home wherever alloys need to be quickly identified and their composition reliably tested, e.g. in metal recycling or quality control in metalworking companies. The device is manufactured by analyticon instruments in Rosbach v.d.H. (Germany).
Innovative functions optimize suitability for everyday use
Data profiles
Another innovative feature of the FEnX-T is its adaptability to the company’s own workflow. The data manager can specify the desired documentation steps for the user (e.g. enter supplier name, scan order number, photograph component, etc.).
Ergonomic 3-way operation
The FEnX-T is a lightweight hand-held device with three navigation options: It can be operated via the touchscreen, real navigation buttons or a control pad. This means it can be used without restriction even in the rain, with gloves or oily hands.
Robustness
The FEnX-T is designed for use in scrap yards or factories. It has to withstand a lot, which is why it is protected against rain, dust and impacts. The FEnX-T protector safely protects the tube and detector when measuring pointed or sharp-edged samples. For maximum productivity, the battery can be changed while the device is in operation.
Unique service
The FEnX-T is a joint Franco-German development by Groupe Physitek. The device is calibrated using the specially developed Octopus robot. It guarantees high quality and repeatability of the measurement results. The analyzers for Germany, Austria and Switzerland are produced by analyticon instruments in Germany - support and service are also provided from Rosbach v.d.H. and in German. This guarantees the best customer care and short service times.
About analyticon as part of Groupe Physitek
analyticon instruments has been distributing portable XRF spectrometers for metal analysis for more than 20 years. The company has been part of the French Groupe Physitek since 2019.
The French company Fondis Electronic also belongs to the same group of companies. It has been producing XRF devices since 2016.
The joint development of the FEnX-T is a milestone for Groupe Physitek on its way to becoming a leading European provider of hand-held measurement solutions in the industrial, environmental and safety sectors. The group currently has just under 100 employees.
