Upcycling with NOLL: Unique Technologies at SOLIDS
Recycling of materials in the ultra-fine range: Processing Technology systems open gateways for innovation and make green ideas work. Impact whirl mill DemiNo® and the new, ultra-compact laboratory system 1050: Discover exclusive engineering at SOLIDS
Smart and energy-efficient powder processing systems which regain materials and generate specific powder properties. Optimizing material value and, eventually, gaining new product life: NOLL, the international fine particle technology specialist, solves even the most complex engineering challenges. “In particular for industrial clients of the environmental sector, in recycling and upcycling, we have become the creative and competent partner”, explains Bettina Noll, the company’s new Managing Director, daughter of founder Ulf Noll. “Time and again we’ve found solutions where others got stuck.”
Exquisite refinement – up to 2 µm
Often the focus is on the exquisite fineness of powders. The finer, the more valuable they become. “With our NOLL know-how we achieve a particle fineness of up to 2 µm. That gives our customers the edge to set both quality and economical standards in their markets”, Bettina Noll confirms. The finer a material, the more competitive advantages it may bear for further processing – for instance in 3D print – and the end manufacture of a product.
Universal genius at SOLIDS: impact whirl mill DemiNo®
NOLL’s exclusively patented processing techniques and functionalities are a decisive customer benefit in recycling – like impact whirl mill DemiNo®. Its technology unites pin mill and whirlwind principles in a single machine and helps save an entire processing step: direct grinding, no additional classifier needed. “A universal genius: DemiNo® is all possibilities and no limits. And an amazing energy saver, consuming considerably less than other mills. That’s why a lot of clients have discovered DemiNo® for their applications”, says managing director Bettina Noll.
NOLL’s ultra-compact laboratory system 1050
For three decades, NOLL has been a renowned partner in R & D, cooperating with leading research institutes and universities, working together on pioneering processing systems for green technologies worldwide. Now, at the SOLIDS stand in Dortmund, NOLL presents its new, multifunctional laboratory system 1050. Ultra-compact design, easy to use and clean, equipped as dynamic air classifier SeparaNo® 1050 E or as opposed jet mill MultiNo® M/S/M 1050. Functionality change in no time – it takes just a couple of minutes to change classifier and mill modules: Both operate on the same basic construction frame.
Most flexible and cost-efficient concept on the market
With its two equipment options and many specific design features, the machine sets a new standard for R & D systems worldwide, Ulf Noll, the company’s founder, claims: “A concept unprecedented in the compact class. Standardized and extremely flexible at the same time, and, with a purchase price of less than 100,000 €, it is more cost-efficient to operate than any other laboratory machine on the market”, explains NOLL founder Ulf Noll.
Fines filled directly into sample containers.
The 1050 system is mobile, gets through any standard door (200 x 80 cm) and has an exceptionally large 10-inch touch panel. Other special features: After fractionizing or milling, the fines are directly filled into standard containers, e.g. sample boxes and jars. A transfer into other containers is no longer needed.
Greatest variety of applications
The laboratory R & D system can be used for testing and small-quantity production in almost any field: from foodstuffs to metallurgy. The focus is e.g. on the dust removal of metal or polymer powders used for 3D print or surface coating, and on the protein shifting of vegetables.
