Recycling-Technik & Solids Dortmund score with additional highlights
Recycling-Technik & Solids Dortmund trade fairs with new highlights on October 9 and 10, 2024
When the trade fairs Solids & Recycling-Technik open their doors to the bulk solids and recycling technology industry on October 9 and 10, 2024 in Dortmund, they will once again prove to be a driving force in the industry with three new formats. The additional exhibition area on process automation will focus on another key topic for the sectors and the exclusive start-up area will showcase resourceful young companies for the first time. The ”Bulk Masters” hackathon, the third highlight in the line-up, will also bring a breath of fresh air to the industry get-together in Dortmund. With the main topics ”Food goes Powder” and ”Young Professionals”, young talents will develop extraordinary solutions for the hot topics of the challenge providers.
New process automation area
With the new exhibition area on process automation at the trade fairs Solids & Recycling-Technik on 9 and 10 October 2024 in Dortmund, the organizer Easyfairs Deutschland GmbH meets once again the current needs of the industry. This is because the demands on the process and recycling industry are increasing and company decision-makers are looking for ways to modernize operating processes in order to remain fit for the future. Walter Foltin, Managing Director of exhibitor MaintMaster Systems GmbH, also welcomes the additional focus of the trade fairs. ”As a software provider, Solids & Recycling-Technik offers us the perfect platform to reach companies that want to make their maintenance more efficient and thus optimize their production processes,” he says, explaining his decision to exhibit in October. In addition to MaintMaster, other providers of automation solutions have already secured a place at the industry gettogether. These include the Austrian company ESA Elektronische Steuerungs- und Automatisierungs Ges.m.b.H, the Bavarian company Taurus Prozesstechnologien 4.0 GmbH, Siemens AG and Zeppelin Systems GmbH from the Lake Constance region.
Wide range of information on offer
Trade visitors in particular like the new focus topic. After all, they are looking for the best possible solutions and the new section of the industry gettogether will highlight all facets of process automation for bulk solids and recycling technologies. It promises information on integrated services or the new production control systems, better known as MES or Manufacturing Execution Systems. Communication via interfaces, so-called Human Machine Interfaces, production data acquisition, monitoring and control systems, switches or sensors will certainly not be neglected in October either. But it is not just the exhibition that will be addressing the new topic; the visitors will also receive valuable impulses in presentations and on themed routes.
Start-ups in the limelight
In addition to the new top theme, the exclusive Start-up Area in Hall 8 will revitalise the trade fair duo in Dortmund. It offers space for ambitious young companies and puts their innovative business ideas in the spotlight. Special conditions and marketing measures support the pioneers in their first appearance and eight of the young companies are already taking advantage of this opportunity. Lynatox GmbH, smart5 envitech GmbH, Xortion Engineering GmbH and AES Autonome Energiesysteme GmbH, for example, will be presenting their modern and sustainable creations in the new exhibition area for the first time.
Spotlight on young talents and creative solutions
The hackathon, a modern format borrowed from the IT sector, will also celebrate its premiere at the trade fair duo in October. The first ”Bulk Masters”, a hackathon for an innovative processing industry, will be looking for ground-breaking ideas on two key topics: “Food goes Powder” is about how we can process and consume food in the future. “Young Professionals” looks at how companies can attract young professionals to their business. During this two-day parallel event, several creative teams consisting of students, start-ups and other young talents will develop innovative and sometimes unusual solutions to the hot topics posed by the challenge providers. Up to three companies have the opportunity to submit their challenges. An independent jury will select the winners after the presentation on the second day of the trade fair and an attractive prize money for the first three places will keep up the motivation even more. Future-oriented companies can therefore take the opportunity to benefit from the innovative strength of young, interdisciplinary teams.
