Sesotec FLAKE SCAN in the final round of the Plastics Recycling Awards
Sesotec FLAKE SCAN in the final round of the Plastics Recycling Awards
Schönberg, July 2021 The FLAKE SCAN plastic flake analysis system from Sesotec has been nominated for the prestigious award of “Recycling Machinery Innovation of the Year” in this year’s Plastics Recycling Awards Europe. The FLAKE SCAN material analysis system makes it possible to determine the precise quality of plastic flakes and regrind within minutes. The quality of plastic flakes and regrind is crucial in determining whether plastic processors and manufacturers can profitably use and sell plastic recyclate. Depending on how the recyclate will be used, elaborate manual, visual, or thermal sample analyses are often necessary in order to assess the quality of a batch of materials. Sample analyses are also used as a means of evaluating the effectiveness of the recycling sorting process. Such sample analyses are hardly representative, and furthermore require additional resources, costs, and time. Compared to traditional sampling methods for plastic flakes

5 Simple ways to manage waste material
It is now possible to complete a material recycling cycle directly on the job site with immediate results: cutting down transportation cost, pollution while growing in profit. The world of inert material recycling is evolving, always looking for the best answer to a single question: How to manage waste material. Waste management has become a real priority for all operators, job sites, quarries and construction management. Pollution, noise and dust emissions are factors companies must take into consideration when dealing with waste management. They also need to choose the right equipment, by considering their cost, maintenance and transportation requirements. MB Crusher patented crusher was the simplest solution. It is now possible to complete a material recycling cycle directly on the job site with immediate results: cutting down transportation cost, pollution while growing in profit. MB Crusher transforms any operated machine in a highly efficient material processing tool that recycles material that can be reintroduced in the next job or be sold for other applications. With MB products, waste material becomes a revenue stream. CUTTING

If you don’t have it, make it.
With a lack of raw materials and skyrocketing prices, your solution comes from debris. It’s a problem affecting everyone, from suppliers to their customers: we’re in the middle of a supply shortage. The planetary crisis behind finding aggregates has hit all sectors, mechanics, and construction and doesn’t seem to have an end in sight. Prices also change from month to month, becoming unsustainable for companies already struggling to meet all of their orders. The jobs are there, but no one knows when they’ll finish them; public and private works risk delaying their construction sites and struggling to recover. "One of the first things that came to mind about this problem was to manage our materials to become more independent and not depend on third parties for everything," a company, who handles demolitions in Belarus, tells us. "When dealing with demolitions, we have a lot of rubble to dispose of on-site – reinforced concrete, bricks, tiles, reinforced poles, etc. – so we asked ourselves, ’why not process this rubble directly on-site and

Working in enclosed spaces: open your eyes to new solutions
How MB Crusher’s equipment lends a hand on construction sites indoors. Everyone knows how working indoors presents multiple problems: it means facing everyday difficulties such as limited access, manoeuvring in a tight area, extensive coordination of incoming and outgoing trucks, managing materials with little storage areas, and work in respect of Health & Safety regulations. As a result, the times and costs of labour increase, which puts companies in a difficult position. However, there are solutions: and embrace them will mean a new way of managing work with excellent results and costs that translates into revenue for the company. Difficult access and minimal room to manoeuvre are no longer a problem. The most common problems on job sites located in closed environments are challenging to access and limited space to manoeuvre around. In quarries, mines, tunnels, and construction sites inside buildings, managing incoming and outgoing materials becomes more and more complex. MB Crusher’s units have completely revolutionized the

Rebuilding roads: when reclaimed asphalt makes the difference
Companies that recycle old asphalt are creating new revenue streams. This industry faces many challenges with high hauling and material disposal costs while also protecting the environment. Anyone with an ongoing road construction project knows this industry’s hurdles on any job scale, from the reconstruction of a main road to a small side road. The same restrictions also affect those who process and distribute bituminous conglomerates. Main obstacles? The high costs of hauling and disposal of removed pavement material and the subsequent cost of new aggregate. “ Every day – business owner says – that we work on a road rebuilding project, we need to consider the price of asphalt: once we mill the old pavement, we need to haul and dispose of it. This process impacts the overall costs, project duration, and our impact on the surrounding environment.” Thanks to MB Crusher’s presence on job sites worldwide, we focused on this weakness and transformed it into a new advantage. The secret? MB’s mobile crushers can be mounted

Seaports and airports
With mb crusher, profits take off while reducing “Working to demolish, redevelop, and build on seaports and airports has many constraints due to the constant flow of arrivals and departures throughout the day and night. To be competitive, we must follow a schedule and avoid going over our budget. This way, our companies can generate profit, which is needed during these difficult times caused by the global pandemic,” this statement summarizes the difficulties and expectations that companies, whose job sites are located within seaports and airports, have to deal with. They turn to MB Crusher to find a solution that helps them improve operations and increase profit. MB Crusher provides a solution for every need on the job site. Need #1: reduce the costs of waste material disposal When managing remediation work either on seaports or airports, you must deal with large quantities of waste material that needs to be crushed or hauled to a landfill. The costs of transporting and processing the material also weigh on

Dry stone walling: new tools to facilitate business and boost artisans
The ancient art of dry stone walling becomes more structured when it meets new engineering techniques. At the end of 2017, UNESCO intervened and confirmed how valuable the art of dry stone walling is. They’ve added this building technique to the Intangible Cultural Heritage list, to protect and safeguard it. Among the reasons for recognising and protecting this art, the main one is due to its distant roots: the knowledge is handed down by rural communities to today’s professionals. These constructions play a vital role in preventing landslides and floods, fight soil erosion and desertification while respecting the environment. By adding the process to the list, eight European countries can share their techniques for constructing dry stone walls. While the methods might differ, the way they are built is by placing one stone on top of the others without using any other material except dry earth. However, over time, even the most ancient techniques have incorporated more modern methods to how “artisans” work – a skilled type of labour that is unfortunately

Every job site can become a recycling center
With MB Crusher’s equipment, construction sites generate their material and have it available immediately at no extra cost wherever they are. Produce your building material, using your heavy equipment, wherever the job site is located. This is the easiest solution for many companies now that procurement is becoming more complex, expensive and it takes longer. And it is also the practical solution when the construction sites are located in areas where heavy vehicles have a hard time reaching it, where there aren’t connecting roads or in historical centres with traffic restrictions. For example, in Bulgaria, a company had to demolish an old house and had limited space. They installed an MB-L160 crusher bucket on the Case 6 backhoe loader they already had on-site, making it quick and easy to load the debris, crush it on site, and obtain quality material that they could reuse as the foundation for the new homes. They saved time and reduced their expenses: they didn’t need to process the material further by transporting it and repurchase it from the recycling centre or a quarry. The result? A material

MB Crusher introduces the new MB-HDS523 shafts screener to the world, designed to increase productivity on the job site. The saying goes, "when the going gets tough, the tough get going," and this historical moment has made us take a good look at what we can do to become more combative and productive. Over the years, our senses sharpened, we listen more, and we understand new needs with each story. At MB Crusher, we’ve always kept an eye out for our customer’s needs, and today we show that we’ve been listening. Our customers have shared their grievances, telling us about the difficulties they face on their job sites, and it’s these problems that we’ve used as a stepping stone for new concepts and ideas. Two years after we launched our new range of MB-HDS shafts screeners, we realized we had the opportunity to do more. Our customers needed something more, an advantage, and an added value on other construction sites or application areas. And that’s where the idea for the big sister of the MB-HDS range, MB-HDS523 shafts screener bucket, was born. The biggest,

Soil, excavated rock, and sand, how do you manage them on-site?
The problem with excavated earth and rocks is, from an economic, regulatory, and an environmental perspective. However, there is a solution and is within reach. Although NASA’s Ingenuity drone helicopter landed on Mars, the earth continues to be the only planet we can inhabit. The soil we live on is a non-renewable resource and needs to be preserved by any means necessary. When it comes to managing excavated soil, the first form of safeguarding the material is reusing the soil, which leaves the environmental quality unchanged. The focal point is that excavated soil is not waste needing to be thrown away, but becomes a valuable resource for everyone involved. Companies and operators aim to recover a large amount of soil to use it again on the job site or in neighboring areas. One of the necessities is to separate the different types of extracted material in to reuse the soil. With the right equipment, the solution is within reach. One case happens in Quillagua, a small Chilean town in the Antofagasta province; National Geographic considers this town the driest place on the entire planet. Over the past 40 years, there
