Concrete process automation solutions at SOLIDS

Process monitoring: recipe for success for high-quality bulk solids

What do customers in the food, chemicals, plastics, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, animal feed and building materials industries have in common? They all expect high and consistent product quality from their powders, granulates and bulk solids. In order for manufacturers to deliver perfect results, two constants are required: safe processes and reliable systems. However, blind trust is not enough here - control in the form of continuous monitoring is better.
In the bulk solids industry, efficiency, safety and, above all, quality in the processing and handling of granular or powdery materials are crucial. However, the plant operator only knows whether everything is really running smoothly if he regularly monitors the process and plant. In the past, he was largely dependent on manual sampling and visual inspections. Technicians had to carry out regular inspections to check the condition of the components and identify potential problems. Today, thanks to automation, the methods and technologies are much more precise and reliable - and they provide data in real time.

Analyze and measure

Analytical and metrological inline or online systems are essential for a smooth process. Users use them to examine their raw materials in order to store, sieve, weigh, dose or discharge them optimally. The internal product flow can also be checked. For example, parameters such as moisture, particle shape, size and size distribution determine quality. Regular measurement of temperature, pressure, flow or fill level makes it clear at an early stage if something is coming to a standstill. Other valuable information for the operator is provided by variables such as mass or density. Laser and X-ray technologies continuously analyze the material composition and quality. They protect against unwelcome impurities, for example, and can be integrated into production lines.

One thing is certain: process monitoring enables plant operators in the bulk solids industry to produce successfully, safely, efficiently and sustainably. You will find the right solutions for this at SOLIDS.
