Powtech Technopharm

Trade show

PowTech TechnoPharm (Nuremberg, 23-25 September 2025) is the international trade fair for process engineering experts and a tailor-made technology platform for the pharmaceutical and life science industries. Its honorary sponsors are the APV (Working Group for Pharmaceutical Process Engineering) and the VDI Association of Process and Chemical Engineering. At this working trade fair, experienced companies and innovative start-ups present a wide range of technological solutions for the production and processing of powders, granulates, bulk solids, fluids and liquids for industries of all kinds.

PowTech TechnoPharm is the gateway to the European market and provides a comprehensive look at the latest developments and industry-specific trends. For exhibitors and visitors from numerous user industries, including the chemical, pharmaceutical, food and feed industries, building and non-metallic minerals, ceramics, glass, mechanical engineering and plant construction, recycling and the environment, as well as cosmetics and batteries, PowTech TechnoPharm provides the perfect platform for sharing information on process and unit operations and GxP-compliant production.

Efficient fiber packaging: From handling to valve bags
Fibers place high demands on processing – from material handling to filling. A fully automated vacuum bagging line shows how process stability, product quality, and logistics efficiency can be significantly improved. Why ship air? Extremely lightweight products with high air retention pose specific challenges throughout the entire process chain. Especially when handling fibers challenges begin long before the actual filling step, because fibers are not a standard bulk material. Not only the filling process In addition to the filling process itself, material handling upstream of the filling system plays a critical role in ensuring overall process stability. Irregular feeding, inconsistent distribution within the pre-hopper, and entrained air directly impact the efficiency and quality of downstream packaging. Challenges in fiber processing - inconsistent feeding of the pre-hopper - bridging and unstable material flow - high air content within the product - fluctuating filling weights - unstable bag filling behavior - bag inflation during the filling process - fiber fly and release of fine particles - reduced payload per bag - limited shape stability during transport -

How RF Technology Works
RF Technology Decoded by UWT – How Electrical Signals Deliver Reliable Level Detection RF technology (Radio Frequency Capacitance) uses high-frequency measurement for precise level detection. Unlike purely capacitive sensors, it detects not only changes in capacitance but also the specific resistance of the medium. This ensures reliable measurement even under challenging conditions. How does RF technology work? The principle is based on an electrical voltage divider. Together with the medium, the probe forms a measuring system that detects both capacitance and impedance. Impedance describes the total electrical resistance a medium presents to an alternating current. It indicates how strongly a material reacts to electrical signals – and this change is exactly what RF technology uses for reliable detection. When the material comes into contact with the electrode, the capacitance increases abruptly – a clear signal that the level has been reached. The longer the active electrode, the more sensitively the probe responds. This allows the measurement

UWT’s - RFnivo® proves its worth in silicon hydration reactor
Capacitive point level measurement in hot water applications Point level sensors for capacitive measuring systems offer a wide range of solutions for applications in media such as liquids, pastes, foams and slurries. These sensors can be integrated into a wide variety of container types, whether they are made of metal or non-metallic materials. The precision of the capacitive level switches extends to both conductive and non-conductive media. The importance of the capacitive measuring principle is proven, as it delivers precise and reliable results even under demanding process conditions. 120°C and intense steam The flexible application options and high measuring accuracy make capacitive point level sensors an ideal solution across a wide range of industrial applications. A major mining company in Peru faced the challenge of selecting a reliable point level measurement for a silicon hydration reactor. This reactor, essential for the production of silicon compounds, operates under complex conditions: the system involves
