UWT implements level measurement for demanding processes

UWT GmbH has successfully completed a challenging project at one of the largest cement plants in Kazakhstan. The plant operator required a solution for a reliable continuous measurement process in the cement silo. Dusty and particularly harsh conditions prevail in the building materials industry, in quarries or in mining. High demands are placed on level measuring devices - solid sensor technology with uncompromising robustness and unrestricted reliability are therefore of the utmost importance. The significant challenges in this project lay in the extreme environment - characterised by high dust formation, lump formation, and high process temperatures. In addition, the installation of the sensor required it to be mounted on an existing, high set nozzle. Electromechanical lot system The NivoBob® electromechanical lot sensor was successfully used for permanent level measurement within the silo. Complete monitoring in a waste incineration power plant in England

Upgrade of level monitoring system in grain storage

A large grain storage facility in the south of England required a reliable content measuring device to replace an old acoustic wave system which was no longer functioning. Configured was a non-contact radar measurement device from UWT combined with a visualization software. Capacitive level measurement technology for detection of crude oil

For the implementation of a reliable level limit measurement within lubricating oil pipelines of tyre production, the limited space situation as well as high material viscosity had to be considered in particular. Level limit measurement in pipelines with lubricating oil One of the largest global tyre manufacturers needed a reliable point level sensor to measure the level in a 3” tube with lubricating oil in their subsidiary in Argentina. Due to the viscosity of the material, not every measuring principle works in this installation situation. The crude oil has a DK value between 2 and 3, the process pressure can be up to 0.8 bar (11.6 psi) and the process temperature up to 80 °C (176 °F). In addition, there is a high moisture content with condensate within the atmosphere. In this case, the ideal solution was UWT’s Capanivo® CN 7000 capacitive point level sensor. These work with the capacitive measuring principle, which is becoming increasingly popular, and have been configured for special process connections. A manufacturer of veterinary products equipped several of his process tanks for various liquids with modern level measurement technology. Upgrade of level monitoring system in grain storage

A large grain storage facility in the south of England required a reliable content measuring device to replace an old acoustic wave system which was no longer functioning. Non-contact continuous level measurement UWT (UK) Limited proposed the use of the free-radiating radar NivoRadar® NR 3100 which could be supplied with an aiming flange.
