Precise level measurement in dusty environments: UWT’s vibrating level switch Mononivo® ensures the highest quality in the food industry A renowned producer of yerba mate in Argentina was faced with the challenge of reliably monitoring the limit levels in a new production plant. The product itself presented particular challenges: A high-dust suspension with a low density of 400 g/l - and the need for specific certification for the food sector. Given the importance of this monitoring of over 100 measuring points, the customer focused on the durability and reliability of the sensors to be used. The plant operator needed a solution for precise control of low and very low fill levels that could meet the demanding conditions of the dusty and lightweight product. Additionally, the sensors had to comply with strict food safety standards and offer high reliability across a multitude of measuring points. Dynamic mode for the best results The user no longer needs any prior analytical knowledge. The spectrometer is suitable for the analysis of alloys such as chromium-nickel steels, aluminum alloys, nickel and copper base metals, super alloys, etc. Equipped with a graphene detector, the handheld device achieves low detection limits even for elements with low atomic numbers (such as Mg, Al, Si or S). It analyzes quickly, accurately and completely non-destructively. After more than 10 years of operation, the slat conveyor chain at a leading Swiss construction company needed to be replaced. FB Ketten is known for customised chain solutions and was also invited to submit a quotation. The customer has a long tradition and attaches great importance to high plant availability. Founded in 1931, the steam roller company has developed very successfully in road construction, civil engineering and tunnelling in the almost 100 years of its existence, operates its own gravel plants and now sees its core competencies in the areas of construction, logistics, environment and digitalisation. Suitable solution required Nothing had to be changed in the design, as the customer was satisfied with the service life of the original equipment chain. This project was therefore about a customised 1:1 replacement at a fair cost.
